These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Quat website and trading console (the "Service") at quat.trade. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Quat is a web-based trading console that helps you view account information, market data, positions, orders, and related tools by connecting to your Alpaca brokerage account. Quat is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Alpaca Markets, Inc. or any other broker-dealer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and with Alpaca's terms and account requirements.
3. Account access and authorization
To use the Service, you may sign in with email and Alpaca API credentials or, when available, Alpaca OAuth. By connecting your Alpaca account, you authorize Quat to access your account information and to place transactions in your account only when you direct us to do so through the Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@quat.trade if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. No investment advice
Quat does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. Market data, P&L figures, and tools in the Service are for informational purposes only. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and for evaluating the risks of any transaction.
5. Market data and performance
Quotes, P&L, and other market information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Data feeds depend on your Alpaca subscription and our infrastructure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service or any particular speed or data tier.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of Alpaca's policies
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Share credentials in a way that compromises account security
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ALPACA DOES NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THAT QUAT WILL WORK AS ADVERTISED OR EXPECTED.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quat and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or trading losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $100 if you paid nothing.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time and revoke Quat's access through Alpaca or by deleting your account credentials with us.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.
